Officeworks is Australia's leading retailer and supplier of office products and solutions for home, business and education. As part of the larger Wesfarmers group, Officeworks has an extensive national footprint approaching 140 retail stores and employs more than 5,500 team members.

Since April 2010 I have been working with Officeworks at their support centre (head office) as Online Content Developer which means I am directly involved in maintaining the multi-million dollar revenue generating e-commerce website. Datacom Information Technologies, a global leader in the delivery and support of ICT solutions to Industry, Education and Government, with over twenty five years' experience in supporting information technology environment.

 

Within their current website, there was a need to implement Search Engine optimization (SEO) features. To accomplish this, I assisted incorporating a sitemap and title, meta data description & keywords for every page inside the php code to make the site more visible to search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo etc generating more traffic. Currently the entire website is being re-designed using Joomla content management system.

Brightstar Logistics is a global company handling logistical operations for telecommunication companies. They handle Telstra’s logistics in Australia and do the same for Telco (New Zealand) and CSL (Hong Kong). I assisted with day-to-day creation & maintenance of the intranet based in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 (MOSS 07) content management system for a period of five months for all three sites mentioned above.
