SEO - another acronym used online in the ever growing technology stands for Search Engine Optimisation. In simple terms it's a process of improving your website visibility to internet surfers via search engines like Google, Bing etc.
With more than 13 billions searches being done every month it has become a part of everyone life. To cater for this search engines have been crawling through the websites which are not behind a login and index the content to present it when a user searches for them. They are very smart and use complex algorithms to rank the websites based on searched terms and relevance of the content found.

Facebook for personal use I feel is bit of a mixed bag and the reason I say that is because you can find your long lost friend and on the flip side your long lost friend can find you....what's wrong with that I hear you ask. Well you, me, our neighbours or our neighbour's neighbours, everyone in life have come across people that we wouldn't want to share personal stuff with and in Facebook unless you change your name or make it unsearchable anyone in the world can find you. What do you do then? Decline / ignore their requests and be rude or oblige and be unhappy about it. The other option then is to make usergroups and share info only with a list of people from your friends list.
